One Ohana believes that every human deserves the chance to express themselves through the arts!
One Ohana provides scholarships to individuals who wish to experience the magic of dance by continuing or beginning their dance education and wouldn’t otherwise be able to due to age, ability, or socio-economic status.
Scholarships may be awarded for up to $500 per individual per dance year (September - June). These funds may be used to cover the cost of tuition or fee(s) associated with taking dance classes.
One Ohana, Inc. will be awarding scholarships for the 2020 - 2021 dance season. The application submission period is: April 1, 2020 through June 30, 2020
Funding decisions will be made and applications notified by: August 1, 2020
Eligibility for a scholarship through One Ohana is determined by the availability of funds, as well as the following criteria and guidelines:
The scholarship recipient must reside in Hampshire, Hampden or Franklin County in Massachusetts.
Recipients must be at least 18 months old (through age 100+) to apply.
Applications will only be considered for the tuition, cost, and/or fees associated with taking a dance, movement, or performance class.
Applications will not be acceptied for the cost or fees associated with competitions.
Applications must provide a clear explanation as to why the recipient desires to take a dance classes and the benefits it does bring them or will bring them, if applying for a dependent or child.
Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
If awarded, scholarship payments are provided directly to the studio, center, or individual providing the services. One Ohana, Inc. will work directly with the contact person provided in the application to arrange scholarship payment.
